A woman dressed in a simple cloak running through the empty streets of the not-quite-awake city stumbled and fell, scraping her knees and the palms of her hands on the rough cobblestones.

I don't know what I was expecting from this book... I didn't love it or hate it. It must be hard to write fiction around badly documented facts and religion.

Judicium Gerald Hess 9781620248041 Books Reviews

I found Judicium to be a well written story which was an easy and enjoyable read. It is quite a page turner and found I didn't want to put it down - always wanting to read a little further. Judicium is also a fascinating glimpse into the history of the period, one can easily imagine walking among the characters in the story.
I felt this book was enlightening with information that supports the historical point of view and reminded me of the strength in faith acquired from my Christian roots. The fictional characters and story lines draw you into the suspense of what many have come to accept as perhaps the greatest unsolved mystery of all times, with all kinds of sub plots to make this book an exciting read to the last page. Recommend "Judicium - An Investigation Into The Missing Body Of Christ" by Gerald Hess. - Thanks, Doc!
It is amazing how Gerald Hess weaves the vivid setting of a historical Jerusalem together with his ensemble of characters. Some names we know from the Bible - some are fictional but together their lives, during the 40 days after the death of Christ, all become intertwined in this dramatic page turner. I loved it. I think anyone who enjoys a good drama / mystery would. A great read that is hard to put down!
