My daughter, age 7, loved this story. She giggled at all the mischief and enjoyed the ending. As a parent, I like that this story introduced my daughter to an important President in such a fun way. It is a bonus that she now knows George Washington’s name at a young age.The guided reading activities are a wonderful tool for helping children identify and understand the characters in the story. A great jump start to the reading comprehension activities that my older daughter, age 10, does in school.
I would recommend this book to kindergarten children and children in the early years of elementary school.

Amazingly wonderful read for my 6yrs old! great book!
George Washington & Cha-Cha the Chimpanzee is a good read–aloud for preschoolers to grade 2. The book features two trouble makers, also known as best friends, who always end up getting soaked as a result of their mischief. The book is a lot of fun; there is an abundance of mischief and comic relief. The text is simple, the characters are full of energy, the story has lots of adventure and the colorful illustrations enhance the text.
The guided reading activities are a wonderful tool for helping children identify and understand the characters in the story.
My two boys (7 & 4) loved this story. I appreciated the book introducing my children to an important President in such a fun way.
